2017 Artwork Contest Closed
The 2017 Youth Angling Card Artwork Contest has officially closed and the judges have made their decisions. There was a very strong field of over 200 entries this year from all over Manitoba. Thank you for participating, in this, the ninth year of competition and fun.
The judges took note of multiple entries from Virden, Domain, St. Malo, Baldur, Roblin, Glenboro, St. Claude, Minnedosa, Crystal Spring, Birtle, Steinbach, Waterhen, Stonewall, St. Eustache, East and West St. Paul. Great job in showing your support for fish, fishing, and fisheries education.
Thank you to this year’s judges: Garther Cheung of KidFish, Jessica Mai from MB Sustainable Development, Stephen Yuffe of Delta Real Estate/Fish Winnipeg, Jerry Kruzcek and John Armitage, co-chairs of the Fish Futures Banquet Committee. The 2017 Youth Angling Card Artwork Contest winners in early years and middle years categories will be announced on Wednesday, February 1st, 2017 on this website. Top prize is $300 cash, plus fishing gear, plus an iPod Touch, so stay tuned . . .
In February 2017, artists are welcome to pick-up their artwork at the Fisheries Branch of MB Sustainable Development, 200 Saulteaux Crescent in Winnipeg, between 8:30AM and 4:30PM. All entries not picked up by March 1st, 2017 will be recycled.
